5th Annual East Grand Forks Showcase will be held on Wednesday, Sept 22nd starting at 5pm

The City will be hosting the 5th Annual East Grand Forks Showcase in the east parking lot of the Civic Center. Many departments will be featured along with other agencies from the Grand Forks and Polk County.

Many departments and organizations will have equipment or information on display including fire trucks, police/sheriff's cars, and special equipment.  The Minnesota Towards Zero Deaths Traffic Safety program will have a pedal car that people can try to drive while wearing fatal vision goggles.  There will be many other activities including a bouncy house for the kids.

There will also be a dunk tank and for a donation of $5 or two non-perishable food items a person will have a chance to dunk a local official.  Officials that will be taking their turn in the dunk tank include Mayor Steve Gander, Police Chief Mike Hedlund, Sheriff Jim Tadman, Fire Chief Jeff Boushee, Northland Community and Technical College President Nancy Kiddoo, Senior High School Principal Brian Loer, and EGF School Board President Brandon Boespflug.
