Effective May 15th playgrounds are reopened for use. All playground equipment has been disinfected over the last few days. All park and playground users are reminded to use safe social distancing guidelines from the Minnesota Department of Health.
There should be 6 feet between all playground users and limit gatherings to 10 people or less. If a playground is busy, please continue to another playground or come back at a time that is less busy.
Recreation users are reminded they should continue to avoid large group activities, group play such as games on athletic fields, basketball courts, and adhere to social distancing and appropriate hygiene practices. High traffic areas in playgrounds will be disinfected on a weekly schedule, however it is recommended that playground users plan ahead by bringing their own sanitizer wipes and hand sanitizer for use before and after use of the playground equipment.
During the continued COVID-19 situation, we remind all users to follow and consider these rules:
- If exhibiting symptoms or not feeling well, please do not use public parks and open spaces- Keep sanitary personal hygiene, washing your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds using soap and hot water.- Cover your cough and sneezes.- Practice social distancing. Keep 6 feet between yourself and others at all times.- Be courteous of others personal space. If needed, step aside to let others pass on sidewalks and trails.- Limit the size of groups, including outdoor picnics, pick-up sports and other group hangouts
